Jessica Opon in school in New York City!

Jessica Opon is one of our 2008 graduating seniors and has been in the competition team program at Evolve since we opened.  We could not be more proud of Jessica, as she was accepted into The New York Conservatory-School of Film and Television.

Thousands audition for this program and 180 are chosen. 

In addition to the amazing classes and training Jessica will be getting, she is a subway ride from Broadway Dance Center!  Bill Bohl, from DDO Talent Agency has asked Jessica to let him know when she is all settled in NYC for a meeting.  We will keep you posted on this page!

Peter Sklar comes and speaks at Evolve!

Peter is a nationally-known speaker, educator, author, talent scout, and producer and has discovered and worked with Sara Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon, Mischa Barton, Ricki Lake, and many others. Peter has a Masters Degree in Education from Harvard University and studied concert piano at New York's Julliard School of Music. He has starred on E! True Hollywood Story, Bravo Channel, and Good Morning America, as well as numerous ABC, NBC, and CBS news and entertainment programs. When Evolve was contacted, it was an exciting day!

After his talk, Peter held open interviews for any of our dancers who were interested.  The following kids were offered an invitation to come to his New York workshop this summer.  Many Broadway producers, choreographers, actors, and directors will be teaching them classes in their area of the arts.

Evolve Teachers performed live onstage with Ian Moore!

Theresa and Ciara performed with recording artist, Ian Moore, at Rockford’s Hot Fest at Davis Park the summer of 2007. Both danced solos choreographed by Artistic Director, Jenny Vause. Just click on their names to view their performances!

Evolve films commercial for Rockford Airport!

In November 2007, a commercial staring some of our competition dancers aired on
WQRF TV Fox 39 and WREX Channel 13!

Many dancers flew out of the Rockford Airport for our National competition in the summer of 2007.
